Anque la havla seya de Oro!!!

Bloggers, if one ever study's words and their origins one will find different definitions for these words depending on what culture uses them and how they use them. Because in different cultures of the World words have their own meaning for those people only. Further, people in sub-cultures like for example the Mexican Chicanos in Texas might take and substitute ancient Indian Nahuatl language words spelled the same way as other words in those different countries and use them in their colloquial or slang language. However, if someone from another Country that uses a same word as a Chicano does for example Havla, may have a completely different understanding of that same word called Havla. For Chicanos, when we use the word Havla we mean a jail or prison cell. And for other people it may mean a type of bread or curse word. Nevertheless, the linguistic aspect of language and word origins is fascinating, and I love it. But I grew up in a sub-culture and I love slang language for the most part. And as I was growing up as a young boy, I remember a Mexican ballad song that said in a stanza in lyric form the following, "Anque la halva seya de oro..., sigue asciendo havla!" The translation means that even though a Cage or Prison or Jail Cell is made of Gold, it remains to be a Cage!" And that is true. So, what does it matter if a jail cell has Bars of Gold to cage one in, it still remains a prison. I remember back in 1980 when I was sent to the Huntsville, Texas Walls Unit for medical treatment for a severe rash that came all over my body. I was at the Eastham Unit at the time and was working Field duty gathering and harvesting crops by hand with hundreds of other convicts. The doctors could never diagnose my condition until way later in 1990's at the V.A. Hospital. It was a biproduct of Agent Orange from my Viet Nam experience. Anyway, when I arrived at the Walls Unit, I got to see a place or section of that prison where they had installed long before my time there, Brass Bars. And this section of the prison was kept immaculately spick and span clean. The convicts there had to keep these bars super polished all the time, so the bars shined like yellow gold. I have to admit that the place looked pretty for sure. But as one traveled deeper into these places it was getting darker. It was a Prison for criminals, but I wanted to do time here at one time in my life. The Walls Unit was a mystique place, but it wasn't like the Units for the incorrigible and criminally insane types. But it was a prison, nonetheless with brass bars to boot. I said all that to say that Gold is a Satanic Trap if we begin to idolize it. And too many times... in life, Gold will drive many people out of their sane minds and end up with the criminally insane convicts. Just look at how many people are trekking on long outrageously difficult journeys just to get to America the land of Gold and Honey. So, is it a big leap to say that Gold is like Yellow Gold Chains or Shackles that Americans have chained themselves too. I'll never forget the dream that I had several years ago of a long thick stranded gold necklace that I found on the ground at night as I walked through some woods somewhere. When I saw the chain, I was ecstatic and happy to find it. So, I bent down to pick up the chain and I pulled at it but it just got longer. And then I was really happy because the chain was about twenty feet long and still coming out from behind the dark trees as I yanked harder. And then finally the end to chain came into view from behind the tree line. And then the whole chain in my hand transformed and it became a huge Seven Headed Rattle Snake with all its heads rabidly raise high up off the ground and expressing their anger at me, as the single rattle rattled at the tail end of its body at my hands even angrier. When I saw this, I let go of the Snake Chain and let go of the tail and I woke up. Man, what a dream. But there you have it. Even many of the Illegal Immigrants are wrapped and decked out with Gold now. Welcome to America! So Let Us Sleep On That.
