Wash your Hands or Bye!
Bloggers, as we grow from toddlers to teenagers, we are told constantly by parents and grown-ups to wash our hands after going to bathroom or coming in from play or work, and especially before we eat. I remember that at times I hated to do this because all I wanted to do was eat. I wasn't called "Gordo" for nothing. And besides I saw no harm if I didn't wash my hands. I also remember that when the grown-ups saw the little ones coming to the table to eat, they would stop us to inspect our hands to see for themselves whether they were clean or not. And little did I know that these grown people were creating in us habits that would follow us all the days of our lives. And little did I know that life came in stages and one step at a time. Like there was a time when I couldn't wash my hands on my own as a baby. And there will be a time that I will not be able to wash my hands when I am so old that I can't move on my own, so my hands and body will have to be washed by others. And of course, one great benefit of living in America at present...is that we have Undertakers that perform the last body wash on our bodies and groom our hair too before we are buried six feet underground. Therefore, there is something critically important to us human beings about keeping our bodies clean and especially our hands. And we cannot overlook that the kitchen and cookware, and whole environment where food is prepared should be clean also. Well, I get it that this is the way things should be in hospitals too, and everywhere else in our society because our health is our Life and quality of life. But is health the only physical aspect in our life and reason why it's so important to wash our hands? Or is there something more important at a spiritual level than we might think? Or maybe we humans always knew at a sub-conscious level that "Cleanliness is next to Godliness!?" As I study histories, I see that War..., or neglect of God's spiritual Ordinances such as bad Governments and Injustices at those levels, was cause for Plagues and Famines. And the victims living under such punishment suffered because they had to scatter to avoid Death in their camps. Therefore, what about it in those situations, was health the only prominent concern for those people then and there? History records that many years ago, Giants and oversized animals and birds, which searched for humans for food, plagued them as well. Hence, Health for those people was not foremost on their minds, but survival was. They were constantly on the run to hide from these plagues on them. Therefore, sometimes humans most likely temporarily abandon social etiquette and pursued a lifestyle of an animal just to survive. Of course, many of these people died from the lack of cleanliness due to forced unsanitary conditions, but what other choice did they have if even the waters were contaminated by waste and dead animals. Yet one has to consider, what can we do about these conditions if history repeats itself over and over again because of the stubbornness that is ingrained in us human beings. So, here is what I see from past histories to the present, that hand washing is important at a spiritual level for all human beings because the Hands represent good and or bad things depending on a person's habits and behavior. For example, people like many Homeless that we see today, have personal problems that came about by many different social and economic factors. Nevertheless, they find themselves in very unsanitary conditions and places like that. Maybe too much stress on them triggered some kind of mental issues on them and they just got worst off? I have no idea what caused them to live like that. However, I go back to the Plagues that God brought to peoples and Government Leaders for their Wicked and Evil practices that were displeasing to God, and they knew it... but kept rebelling anyway. Well, I believe that perhaps like that kid that refused to obey their parents or elders and ended up in reform schools or dead before their time is what happened in many cases. And that is what evil does..., it destroys and nothing good comes out of it. Just look at the third World Countries where people are eating food scraps out of trash cans and even landfills without washing their hands. What went wrong there? Well, I had a dream this dawn and I heard a beautiful young female's voice that sang in English these words over a place where many, many, people were involved in perverted sexual practices outdoors at daytime. And as I looked at this place the Voice sang these words only, "Wash your Hands or bye!!!" Do you see now the significance of our Hands spiritually speaking. Washing of hands is important for many reasons. For one reason, how can we raise our Hands to our God Christ Jesus to worship Him or Honor, or Bless Him, if we have blood or garbage in our hands! How can we create anything of spiritual or of social significance with dirty filthy hands? Is it any wonder that the female beauty's voice asked, Wash your hands or bye! She was saying cleanse your whole Being in the Blood of Christ Jesus and live righteously without anger and violence and injustice and treat everybody with love and respect. And treat your bodies as Temples of God Almighty...or Goodbye! What decent girl or woman of God or man can sink so low in great sin. Heck..., its easy! Sin is a powerful force that once a person gives a little, it will kill your connection to God and your soul and spirit. And we end up cursing ourselves. I need my hands clean because I am constantly worshipping God, and I am constantly at war with Satan and his munnions. I can't raise my hands against my enemies and defeat them with dirty perverted guilty hands. Our washing of hands is about Purification. I remember that my wife would always complain to me in the past and say, "Dad, you wash your hands more than the Catholic priest!" Well, I am not Catholic, and in the past, I lived like a devil. But now I am a Priest of God here on earth. And I hope I can continue caring for the poor and their plight...even when they seem not to care for themselves! So Let Us Sleep On That for now. Thanks again. Respectfully, Ruben N. Gutierrez
